Apple Cider Chicken Wings Recipe

    • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
    • 1 cup apple cider
    • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt, to taste
    • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)


    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple cider, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Set aside.

    Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl. Season the wings with salt to taste.

    Pour half of the prepared apple cider marinade over the chicken wings, reserving the other half for later. Toss the wings until evenly coated with the marinade.

    Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle them with olive oil.

    Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown, flipping them halfway through the cooking time.

    While the wings are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

    Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a serving platter.

    Drizzle the thickened apple cider glaze over the hot wings, using a spoon or pastry brush to coat them evenly.

    Garnish the wings with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, if desired, and serve immediately as an appetizer or main dish.
