Bourbon Pecan Pie Bars Recipe


    For the Crust:

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    For the Pecan Filling:

    • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
    • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 large eggs, beaten
    • 2 tablespoons bourbon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt


    Preheat the Oven:

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch (23×23 cm) baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.

    Make the Crust:

    In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until the ingredients come together and form a crumbly dough.

    Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

    Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until it’s lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.

    Prepare the Pecan Filling:

    In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, beaten eggs, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

    Assemble and Bake:

    Pour the pecan filling over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the filling is set and slightly golden on top.

    Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan.

    Chill and Slice:

    Once the bars have cooled, refrigerate them for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to set further.

    Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan and onto a cutting board.

    Cut into squares or bars of your desired size.


    Serve the Bourbon Pecan Pie Bars at room temperature and enjoy the delicious combination of pecans, bourbon, and gooey filling.
