Brownie recipe

    • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate (optional)
    • Nuts, such as walnuts or pecans (optional)

    1.Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

    2.Melt the Butter:

In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop, melt the butter until it’s fully liquid.

    3.Combine Sugar and Eggs:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and eggs.

Beat them together until well combined and slightly fluffy.

    4.Add Vanilla Extract:

Stir in the vanilla extract into the sugar and egg mixture. Mix well.

    5.Incorporate Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

    Be careful not to overmix.

    6.Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts:

Fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and nuts (if using).

This step adds extra texture and richness to the brownies.

    7.Transfer to Baking Pan:

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Be cautious not to overbake; a slightly gooey center is desirable for fudgy brownies.

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

This helps them set and makes for easier cutting.

    10.Cut and Serve:

Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares or rectangles.

You can dust them with powdered sugar, add a scoop of ice cream, or enjoy them as is.

Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for longer shelf life.

    12.Optional: Customize Your Brownies:

Get creative by adding swirls of caramel, a sprinkle of sea salt, or even a layer of cream cheese for a unique twist.

Savor the rich, chocolatey goodness of your homemade brownies with a glass of milk, a scoop of ice cream, or simply on their own!

This classic brownie recipe is sure to satisfy your chocolate cravings. Whether you prefer them gooey or cakey, these brownies are a delightful treat for any occasion. Enjoy baking and indulging in these homemade chocolaty delights!
