Cherry Limeade Slushies Recipe


    • 2 cups frozen cherries, pitted
    • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to taste)
    • 2 cups ice cubes
    • 1 cup cold water
    • Lime slices and fresh cherries for garnish (optional)


    Prepare the Cherries:

    If you haven’t already, pit the cherries and remove any stems. You can buy pre-pitted frozen cherries to save time.

    Juice the Limes:

    Roll the limes on the countertop to soften them, then cut them in half.

    Using a citrus juicer or your hands, squeeze out the lime juice. Strain the juice to remove any pulp or seeds if desired.

    Blend Ingredients:

    In a blender, combine the frozen cherries, lime juice, granulated sugar, ice cubes, and cold water.

    Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and slushy. If the consistency is too thick, you can add a little more water.

    Taste and Adjust:

    Taste the slushie mixture and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lime juice if necessary. Blend again briefly to incorporate any additional ingredients.


    Pour the Cherry Limeade Slushies into glasses.

    Garnish each glass with a slice of lime or a fresh cherry on the rim for a decorative touch.

    Optionally, you can serve with a straw or a spoon for slurping up the slushie.


    Serve immediately while the slushies are icy cold and refreshing.


    For an extra chill, you can freeze the glasses for about 15-20 minutes before serving.

    If you prefer a stronger cherry flavor, you can add a few drops of cherry extract or a splash of cherry syrup to the mixture.

    If you’re making these for adults, you can add a splash of vodka or rum for a boozy twist.
