Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)
    • 1 cup milk (whole or buttermilk)
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease the cups.

    Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

    Add Chocolate Chips:

Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the dry ingredients, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

    Mix Wet Ingredients:

In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.

    Fill Muffin Cups:

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs (avoiding chocolate chips).

Allow the muffins to cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, serve and enjoy these delicious chocolate chip muffins with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage.

You can customize these muffins by adding nuts, shredded coconut, or even a swirl of peanut butter to the batter before baking.

These chocolate chip muffins are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet treat any time of the day!
