    Table of Contents

    • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
    • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
    • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
    • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
    • Crackers or sliced vegetables (for serving)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Shape the cheese mixture into a ball. You can use your hands or a spatula to help form a smooth, round shape.

In a shallow dish, spread out the chopped pecans.

Roll the cheese ball in the chopped pecans, ensuring that the entire surface is coated evenly. Gently press the pecans onto the surface of the cheese ball to adhere.

Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm. This allows the flavors to meld and the cheese ball to set.

Just before serving, remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes to soften slightly.

Optional: Garnish the cheese ball with finely chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.

Serve the classic cheddar cheese ball with an assortment of crackers or sliced vegetables.

Enjoy your delicious and crowd-pleasing Classic Cheddar Cheese Ball at parties, gatherings, or as a tasty snack!

Feel free to customize the recipe by adding additional herbs, spices, or even rolling the cheese ball in different coatings like chopped herbs, crushed pretzels, or bacon bits.
