Cranberry Orange Crush Cocktail Recipe

    • 1 cup fresh cranberries
    • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
    • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 2 ounces vodka
    • 1 ounce orange liqueur (such as triple sec or Cointreau)
    • Ice cubes
    • Orange slices and fresh cranberries for garnish
    • Sparkling water or club soda (optional)

    Prepare Cranberry Orange Syrup:

In a small saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries, orange juice, sugar, and water.

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the cranberries burst and the sugar dissolves completely.

Once the cranberries are soft and the mixture has thickened slightly (about 8-10 minutes), remove from heat.

Allow the syrup to cool for a few minutes, then strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a clean container. Discard the solids and set the syrup aside to cool completely.

    Prepare the Cocktail:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

Pour 2 ounces of vodka and 1 ounce of orange liqueur into the shaker.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of the cranberry orange syrup (adjust according to taste preference).

Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients.

    Assemble the Drink:

Fill a glass with ice cubes.

Strain the shaken cocktail mixture into the glass, using a strainer to catch any ice or fruit pulp.

If desired, top off the drink with a splash of sparkling water or club soda for a bit of fizz.

    Garnish and Serve:

Garnish the cocktail with a slice of orange and a few fresh cranberries for a festive touch.

Optionally, you can also add a sprig of fresh mint for extra aroma and visual appeal.

    Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!

You can prepare the cranberry orange syrup in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week. Simply give it a good stir before using to incorporate any settled solids. Adjust the sweetness of the syrup according to your taste preferences by adding more or less sugar.
