Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe

    • 8 cups whole milk
    • 2 cups heavy cream
    • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
    • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 pinch of salt
    • Optional toppings: whipped cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate shavings

    Combine Ingredients in Crockpot:

In a large crockpot, combine the whole milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and granulated sugar. Stir well to combine.

    Cook on Low Heat:

Set the crockpot to low heat and cook the hot chocolate mixture for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure that the chocolate is fully melted and the ingredients are well combined.

    Add Vanilla and Salt:

About 15 minutes before serving, add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor. Stir well.

Ladle the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, or chocolate shavings if desired.

    Keep Warm:

Set the crockpot to the “Keep Warm” setting if available, to maintain the perfect serving temperature throughout your gathering.

Serve the Crockpot Hot Chocolate to your guests and enjoy the rich and creamy goodness!

If you prefer a darker chocolate flavor, you can use all semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Adjust the sweetness according to your taste by adding more or less sugar.

For an adult version, consider adding a splash of your favorite liqueur, such as peppermint schnapps or Baileys Irish Cream.

This Crockpot Hot Chocolate is perfect for warming up a crowd during cold weather or for cozy nights by the fire. Enjoy!
