Delicious Chantilly Cake Recipe


    For the Cake:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup whole milk

    For the Chantilly Cream:

    • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    For the Filling:

    • 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)

    For the Garnish:

    • Additional fresh berries
    • Mint leaves


    Preheat the Oven:

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

    Prepare the Cake Batter:

    a. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

    b. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

    c. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

    d. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

    e. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.

    Bake the Cake:

    Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

    Prepare the Chantilly Cream:

    In a chilled mixing bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form.

    Assemble the Cake:

    a. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving platter.

    b. Spread a layer of Chantilly cream over the first layer and top with fresh berries.

    c. Place the second cake layer on top and cover the entire cake with the remaining Chantilly cream.

    d. Garnish the top with additional fresh berries and mint leaves.

    Refrigerate and Serve:

    Chill the Chantilly Cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
