    Table of Contents

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 3 large eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 cups grated zucchini, excess moisture squeezed out
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the grated zucchini until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Allow the Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice and enjoy your moist and chocolatey Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread!

This bread is a delightful way to sneak in some veggies while satisfying your chocolate cravings. Enjoy it with a cup of coffee or as a sweet treat any time of the day!
