Extra Fluffy Cranberry Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

    For the Dough:

    • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F or 43°C)
    • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 2 large eggs

    For the Filling:

    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • 1 cup dried cranberries

    For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

    • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2-3 tablespoons milk

    Prepare the Dough:

In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, remaining sugar, flour, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and eggs.

Mix until the dough comes together. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.

    Make the Filling:

Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a 16×24-inch rectangle.

Brush the melted butter over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the butter. Sprinkle dried cranberries on top.

Starting from one of the longer sides, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 even rolls.

    Bake the Rolls:

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving some space between them. Cover and let them rise for an additional 30-45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.

    Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze:

While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze. In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

    Finish and Serve:

Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm rolls.

Serve the extra fluffy cranberry cinnamon rolls warm and enjoy!

These cranberry cinnamon rolls are a delightful twist on the classic cinnamon roll, and the cream cheese glaze adds a deliciously creamy finish. Perfect for a special breakfast or brunch!
