Ground Turkey Flatbread With Cranberry Chutney Recipe

    • 1 lb ground turkey
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 4 flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

    Cranberry Chutney:

    • 1 cup fresh cranberries
    • 1/2 cup orange juice
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • Pinch of salt

    Prepare Cranberry Chutney:

In a saucepan, combine fresh cranberries, orange juice, honey, grated ginger, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the chutney thickens.

Remove from heat and let it cool. The chutney will continue to thicken as it cools.

    Cook Ground Turkey:

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add ground turkey, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Cook the turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.

    Assemble Flatbreads:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Place flatbreads on a baking sheet.

Spread a layer of cranberry chutney on each flatbread.

Evenly distribute the cooked ground turkey over the cranberry chutney.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.

    Garnish and Serve:

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

    Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.

Slice and serve the ground turkey flatbreads with cranberry chutney immediately.
