Ritz Cookies Recipe


    • 1 sleeve (about 36 crackers) of Ritz crackers
    • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 12 ounces (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • Sprinkles or chopped nuts (optional, for decoration)


    Prepare Ritz Crackers:

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

    Lay out the Ritz crackers in pairs, flat side up, on the prepared baking sheet.

    Make Peanut Butter Sandwiches:

    Spread a generous amount of peanut butter onto half of the Ritz crackers.

    Top each peanut butter-covered cracker with another cracker to make a sandwich.

    Chill the Peanut Butter Sandwiches:

    Place the peanut butter sandwiches in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to firm up.

    Melt Chocolate:

    In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips, stirring occasionally until smooth.

    Dip Peanut Butter Sandwiches:

    Take the chilled peanut butter sandwiches out of the refrigerator.

    Dip each sandwich into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is completely coated. Use a fork to lift the cookies out of the chocolate, letting any excess drip off.

    Place on Baking Sheet:

    Place the chocolate-covered sandwiches back on the lined baking sheet.

    Decorate (Optional):

    Immediately sprinkle the tops with your choice of sprinkles or chopped nuts if you desire.

    Chill to Set:

    Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set, which takes about 30 minutes to an hour.

    Serve and Enjoy:

    Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully remove the Ritz cookies from the parchment paper and serve.

    Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
