Snickerdoodle Crumb Muffins Recipe

    For the Muffins:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream

    For the Crumb Topping:

    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


    Preheat the Oven:

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups.

    Prepare the Crumb Topping:

    In a small bowl, combine the crumb topping ingredients – flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly. Set aside.

    Make the Muffin Batter:

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

    Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

    While the muffins are baking, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl to create the cinnamon sugar coating.

    Coat Muffins in Cinnamon Sugar:

    Once the muffins are out of the oven and while they are still warm, dip the tops of each muffin into the cinnamon sugar coating, ensuring an even and light coating.

    Cool and Serve:
